Kansas tried a tax plan similar to Trump’s. It failed.http://nyti.ms/2yDHRBM

Of course it failed because that's what trickle down economics does.. but will GOP congress learn from Brownback's failure. Not a chance !

It's hard to understand do high taxes on small business benefit small business. Can they hire more people. Or diversify no they can't.

The jury is in on this zombie lie so once & for all, tax cuts do not pay for themselves. They never have & they never will.

Economists have been compiling this data years. Cutting taxes w/o offsets; assuming the the rich will go out & spend only explode deficits.

Ditto for Oklahoma. OK income tax cuts havent helped most who need help and have devastated the State budget

Please autotweet this nonstop. It's not getting enough coverage. Kansas is in shambles, but no worries, the Kochs enjoyed their tax breaks

Every week I beg for everyone to talk about this non-stop. Shouldn't be a single discussion on the tax plan where this doesn't come up.

It didn't just fail, it failed spectacularly. As it stands, Brownback had to try to cover up his incompetence by robbing KPERS, the highway fund, and attempting to short education funding. He'd rather lie about the results than admit the truth.

I live in Kansas and Ive been on the receiving end of Brownback's policies. I would respectfully suggest you simply read articles from the last 7 years. If you want me to site chapter and verse, there are too many.

If you have to argue with anyone about this, just tell them that he's cut taxes on LLCs and diverted funds from education and the highway fund and delayed state contributions to KPERS raised sales taxes to almost 10% to cover his actions.

That's because sales tax means every1 pays about same in taxes. Rich guy pays 10% on a steak just like poor guy. Alt method of flat tax.

Yeah, but it hurts the poor guy more. The rich guy can afford it, and if they don't like that, many in the KC and metro area can just go to Missouri to get their goods. Many others don't have that option.

A 10% sales tax on a poor man is a 10% tax on income bc he spends it all. A rich man doesn't spend nearly all the income he receives.
