As a child, teenager, young woman, 52 yr old woman-There’s always been a Harvey Weinstein at some point in my life.

Yes, most of us have had to "fend off" hundreds of times!

We need to change the conversation from "How do women protect themselves?" to "HOW DO WE RAISE MEN WHO WON'T ABUSE WOMEN?"
#NoMore -
It's socialogical & still in development. It has gradually improved in last 50 years. When women truly have equal rights, it'll be better.
-
And women won't have equal rights while they are still being viewed as objects instead of talented, intelligent human beings.
-
Yes, all over the world. It's important for us to have more women (qualified) in Congress, so that all are better represented.

Women face a "catch 22" re: sexual predators: if we tell, it might stop; if we tell, we might not be believed; if we tell, it's our fault.

if we tell they say we're frigid

From the day I sprouted breasts at age 11 (having boobs makes you a slut) until the day I chose objectification as a career. In 20 years as a nude art model ZERO harassment. Weird, huh.
-
That makes sense. Working around nudity demystifies the human form.

Yup. I was the equivalent of a grape!

It was the silence of 'celebrities' that allowed Harvey Weinstein to act and do whatever he wanted, to whoever he wanted, over the years.
-
Celebrities were silent as they were not celebrities at that time & did not want to loss established Harvey's contact.
-
And yet they continued to work with him long after they "made it" knowing he was capable of such behavior.

Agreed! Look at what happened to Amber Heard when she spoke about Johnny Depp’s physical abuse, she wasn’t given the support she deserved!

Time to start the larger conversation about how women are treated in the work place. We all have stories. We have all had to ignore crap.
-
It dosnt make it right please don't try to justify it
-
In no way was
@soneil4336 trying to justify it. She was affirming this is universal, regardless if workplace is Hollywood or McDonalds. - End of conversation
