Me too. I was there in October 2016. Fantastic city and country, I hope to be able to return there.
-
Did you see Bled too?
-
Yes, we went to Bled too. BTW, the photo at the top of my twitter home page is of Piran, Slovenia. I just loved Capodistria.
-
Slovenia's a little country, but much to see. I'd like to return to really do it justice. And very convenient flight connections from USA.
-
Never seen an ex-communist country like that- not a trace of it, no cement block appts, etc. The place looks great, + the people a delight

There are some modernist neighborhoods that were built during the socialist era & several Yugoslav-era monuments but not in the old town.
-
I am interested in those things from a historical perspective + will check them out next time! There was no blight... your pride shows

I THINK that’s where the school kids don’t have homework ... and have great grades.
-
Hm, our kids do have homework.

-
Okay, in Michael Moore’s documentary “Where To Invade Next” I thought it was Slovenia where the kids dint have homework. Wrong country.

Slovenia was the one with free college education. We also have social security and 9 months maternity leave.https://youtu.be/5g3Km5kSi7A

That's great, thanks! Which one had no homework?
Also, I love Ljubljana Symphony Orchestra!

Enjoyed that little town. Would love go back. One must also visit Bled. The picturesque lake town. Not far from Ljubljana.
