Unfortunately gun control will not stop criminals that don't follow the law in the first place. Gun control will only hurt the law abiding.

Unfortunately laws preventing robbery will not stop robbery.
-
Law amid at robbery doesn't infringe on law abiding citizens constitutional rights.
-
Your argument is that law abiding citizens should be allowed to have as many guns as they want w/out regulations?
-
That's not even what the 2nd Amendment says! Read it -- it CALLS FOR regulations.

The man had explosives too. He just never got to use them. Guess what? All explosives r illegal. Banning guns will not stop these acts.
-
The automatic rifle he used was also illegal.
-
I don’t doubt it. Fully auto rifles are heavily regulated. Most people can’t get one if they wanted too. Legally that is.

Genuine question. How was this shocking? Did other people not just shrug when they read this? I did, because 20 1st graders died and nothing
-
I got the nyt news alert on my phone this morning and said "oh." At work I regularly see the worst child abuse you can imagine.
-
Nothing should shock you in a country with rampant drug abuse, sex crimes and guns. This is a fucking hellhole.

Too little too late. Too many guns, too many crazies and too many NRA lobbyists.
-
I could care less about the lobbyists or guns but why no compassion at all for the "crazies"?

I cared for a mentally ill man for nearly twenty years and the doctors who treated him struggled to help him.
