        if that's the case decrease the cost of living;I shldnt have two jobs to support myself; working more than 50 hrs a week is modern slavery

        Federal base rate is unrealistic.Even raising it to $11 wouldn't add up to cost of living in most states.

        That is fair, but min wage should not be set to rent. We have all had roommates to share costs as we learned higher demand skills.
