Nationalizing Equifax wouldn't necessarily make it more secure, but it COULD eliminate profit motive & the sketchy ways our scores are sold.
-
Credit scores get pulled for way too many things, because the bureaus profit off it. They market it aggressively and against our interests.
-
They also almost never correct errors in your scores because they have no incentive to. You're not the customer, you're the product.

This causes me to question Trans Union and Experian. The other 2 major credit bureaus. If Equifax was hacked I'm sure they were targeted.

Why would they? We're not their customer. That's a big part of the problem with credit rating agencies in general.

Get rid of all credit ratings agencies, none of them care about "us", but they unfortunately have an undeserved ability to guide our future

We should be getting rid of ALL companies that abuse OUR personal info without us having no say in them actually collecting our info!

Regardless, NONE of these companies should be selling, using, abusing our personal info. We're nothing more than data & dollar signs
