        Nationalizing Equifax wouldn't necessarily make it more secure, but it COULD eliminate profit motive & the sketchy ways our scores are sold.

        Credit scores get pulled for way too many things, because the bureaus profit off it. They market it aggressively and against our interests.

        They also almost never correct errors in your scores because they have no incentive to. You're not the customer, you're the product.

        This causes me to question Trans Union and Experian. The other 2 major credit bureaus. If Equifax was hacked I'm sure they were targeted.

        Why would they? We're not their customer. That's a big part of the problem with credit rating agencies in general.
