Where were his family, friends and community during his crisis? Nowhere. Now they're rioting and blaming the police for his suicide.

This is tragic in so many ways, but it frustrates me that a suicide has become the police's fault. Where was his support before this?

Because there is no way they could have taken him down with a bean bag round or rubber bullets. Oh wait, they could have

He reported himself with a gun, he wanted to get killed, he rushed one of the officers at the end to force the shooting.

indeed, they did give him a lot of warnings and tried to speak with him, the guy wanted to die, doesn't matter now though.

Can't see what happened at time of shooting. How close was he to cop? Did he lunge at him? He wanted to die, 2 bad he didn't get help sooner

Good God this is repeated across the nation everyday because we accept this bullshit that there is no non-lethal way to disarm a man w/knife

There are ways, but nothing is guaranteed. If someone is hell bent on dying at hands of police what do you expect? Cop to give his life?

The police responded as they should have. He wanted to get shot and acted accordingly. You can't expect the police to be therapists.

You didn't read the article. HE called 911 and said he had a gun. You shoot to kill, not injure. Your life is on the line.

You should be feeling sorry for the officer who was put in the position to kill someone by someone who couldn't do it himself.

So it was "suicide by cop". Sad, but some people don't have the guts to kill themselves so they let another do it. Sad story.
