If the baker wins on grounds of "religious beliefs" this would open the door for a ton more discrimination of other people, not just gays.

I wouldn't do the same, but I think the baker has a right to refuse service. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force him to drink
-
I think my concern in this case is that it could be broadened to discriminate against anyone then. Blacks, women, obese, handicapped, etc.
-
That wouldn't happen because then they'd go out of business. I think businesses have a right to close their doors, w/ awareness of risks
-
My point is that it's not more legally right to discriminate against any one group or another.
-
But this is bakery; a request-based business. Not medicare, not litigation. If a baker finds a cake too complex, he can refuse that as well
-
But being too difficult to execute is one thing. Not serving a client based discrimination is another.
-
But forcing someone to serve you is a violation of their freedom of religion. At this rate, is it discrimination if it's a religious choice?

I'm sure Lakewood, CO, has many more bakeries that would love to take money in for their business. Boycott Jack Phillips.

Ok, art. And sweat. He looks like he might sweat on the cakes. He looks sweaty. I'd skip him any way.

Exactly why fight to give people your money. As a black man if you don't want to serve me I go elsewhere...find the right baker.
-
but remember the days a lot of people would not serve blacks NOT RIGHT
-
... the public should be aware of which bakers won't bake for gay couples, so they can know and possibly boycott. I'd like to see these...
