Equifax's data breach has brought calls for greater oversight. But in the past, credit bureaus have fended this off.http://nyti.ms/2f09I3q

We can't have accountability for the wealthy, that would undermine the ability of the rich to feed off of the poor!

Credit bureaus are the gangsters of our time. Unchecked. Unregulated. Often incorrect. Never held accountable.

The problem is that they've linked all of this vital information to an SSN. Beyond that just about anyone can get your information...-ONE👎🏿

What gives Equifax or the others the right to collect or store that info? Or make money from it? Or charge me to stop anyone from using it?

Credit bureaus are complicit in ID theft. CC issuers, too. The people that suffer the effects have no voice and no power to effect change

They've had it easy for too long. No transparency, massive hurdles to getting error corrected, this is a great step .

We never volunteered our info to the credit bureaus. The govt did. Why we have no recourse in this breach is unconstitutional @Equifax
