Facts: they take my data, from everywhere; they sell it, to everyone; I am nothing to them; they'd refuse to speak to me except for laws.

The reason @Equifax is needed is that people r addicted to credit; if they had cash or reasonable debt/equity then the ratings wd mean nil

As a customer, you have the option to study, and make an informed decision. However, no consumer chose Equifax. There’s no opt-out, even.

We need to pause this monetary experiment they are trying on us and switch back to cash for a little bit. Too much to lose for us.

Equifax, FICO are all a scam. Way to gather personal info. Past has no bearing on people's ability to pay future bills.

It is an indicator of future performance if it shows current, recent, or chronic late or non payments. But one bad thing 6.5 years ago? Nah

ppl's ability to pay is based on Employers. When an Employer can't pay, they do a mass layoff. Get a AAA+; Bond market collapses anyway.

This is purely a way to increase interest rate charged, only impact poor and middle class. Rich people don't have to finance.

There are some well-off people who have bad credit. Lack of money isn't the only thing that makes people pay late or owe money

Yes they have had credit. My point is they don't rely on financing as much or and a negative credit does not impact them as much

But I agree they are used in instances they shouldn't be - why does your credit rating affect your auto insurance rates, for example?

Yes my issue is with the blanket score by credit agencies. They never cross reference or interact with people they are providing credit on
