Stop assigning emotional roles. Let it happen. And provide opportunities for children to be happy for their classmates' artistic talent.

I was proud when the Pre K teacher told me my kid comforted the kids who cried during first week. Empathy is a strength not a weakness.

I'm a perpetual dark cloud and I don't see a problem with having a Class Sushine. It's kind of nice, maybe teaches them some empathy.

We need to accept each other as we are, starting in our own families. Too much pressure to be pleasant, rather than respectful & real.

I like that she has a "fireball" daughter. We need to nurture our thoughtful introverts and moody creative girls too. :)
