        If our Paper of Record did more to support biking in NYC, New Yorkers would ride more. Nothing uniquely Dutch about this phenomena.

        We found the same thing in Davis, CA, which leads the U.S. in bicyclists and bike-commuters per capita.

        It's the same everywhere, people don't generally bike because it's dangerous. Build bike infrastructure in the US and people will bike.

        well, people don't bike because it's ***perceived*** to be dangerous. Problem in UK and Germany is lot of cycling infrastructure is shite

        It's definitely dangerous, ride on some country roads and after a few trucks intentionally buzz you you'll want to quit. City is no better.

        Did TransAm back in 2005 and 99pct of driving was absolutely fine. Talked to many RUSA riders on LEL, no issues either. just be assertive
