Fancy weddings are stupid & a waste of money and time that could be better spent buying a home, or paying down student loans, or traveling.

My 1998 wedding cost less than 500 dollars, including rings . Home made cake, simple dress, etc. Married without debt. It can be done.

It was. We had close family & good friends and it was simple, low key, and very meaningful.

I believe money is better spent on things other than extravagance. U can still have a beautiful small inexpensive wedding. I did!😄❤
