Exactly! Trump used words like epic, worst flooding ever in history, etc, yet doesn't connect the dots to climate change and it's effects?!
-
@realDonaldTrump cant get through a connect 4 game, so we can't expect him to connect the dots for issues that really matter.#climatechange - 1 more reply

You can't tell me when life begins or how many genders there are and you want to have a conversation about the weather? I'll pass...

2/3 of bangladesh underwater. A million homes gone. A thousand lives lost. Texas bad. South east Asia a total catastrophe without recovery
-
The Asian floods 25 times that of Texas. Vast. Has hardly made world news. This isn't to diminish Texas but there is a heap wrong here

The biggest mistake people make is to confuse "climate" with "weather." One crates the forces for the other but they aren't the same.

If a storm is a slam dunk, climate is the court. Climate change is like raising the court 2 feet. U know more slam dunks will happen.

The consequences of climate change are very real

If you had read the report instead of just reading about it you would know sea ice is increasing, not the continental shelf itself
-
And with some further reading elsewhere, you would learn why it is that the sea ice increasing is actually a symptom of increase in temps.
-
Is a result, in part, of the fact that saltwater freezes at lower temp than freshwater. Warm water is reaching the continental shelves,...
-
creating some melting, the overall effect is to deliver a cold freshwater layer to the top hundred meters or so of the surrounding ocean. ..
-
Fresh water freezes more quickly, so sea ice builds up quickly and spreads.
