Mayor did the right thing. If we had evacuated, we'd be all on 45 under water, dead in our cars. He's done a great job during this time.

107 of 120 deaths in #HurricaneRita were due to evacuation...not storm related. Coastal residents couldn't evacuate due to Houston logjam.pic.twitter.com/LsCYYw3IRi

Everyone had same information: US/European model/Weather Channel, network news. People could make their own decisions. Nature-unpredictable.

Category 4 storms are so powerful that typically keep moving when the make landfall, they don't stall, then spin back into the Gulf. #Harvey

There is no "typical" anymore. I've tracked storms for 50+years. All unique. But our Euro & 🇺🇸weather models were, sadly, all catastrophic.🙏

Probably because he (understandably) can't predict the future. Houstonians had same forecasts he did. No one kept them from leaving.

Our Mayor is wonderful, smart, and he's right! We would have seen thousands & thousands starving and wet on the freeways had he evacuated.

The `Texans One Love' display by Texans should give them Nobel Peace Prize. It was like a mirage. Let's emulate `Texans One Love' creed.

Your post has nothing to do with #Houston and why no evacuation order was proper. My Italian is now too rusty for typing to you, sorry.
