When are we going to start charging people who do this with domestic terrorism? It's literally the same tactic terrorists use

Exactly. Literally. And I bet if we dig into both this case and the VA case, we'll find religious beliefs in the mix, too.

Maybe historians from the future will compare the crystal night to what's happening in the US these days.

Cars don't "drive". People drive cars. Deliberately driving a car into a crowd of people is mayhem and attempted murder.

When will we finally tame this horde of autonomous, driverless cars? Or can we stop talking about these events in a passive voice?

Okay, *somebody* on this thread needs to call this terrorism -- ideologically-motivated violence in a civilian context.

Did you even read the story? Protestors blocked intersection and began hitting the car. Car inched forward and eventually hit gas.

Maybe you're right and I read it wrong, maybe not ideologically motivated. But who drives into ppl demonstrating? I've been on both sides.

I've never seen a protest and thought, "Now that's a good route to use." And hitting ppl is *not an option* for most sane people.

If my family is in the car and people are hitting my car with a flagpole then their safety comes first and I'm completely sane.

They blocked an intersection to protest and then played victims. Stay out of the road. Problem solved.

Ppl have been blocking the road for protests forever. They block sidewalks, too. That isn't license to drive thru them.
