        I think It's the parents who need the encouragement. Unless the kid is self-motivated, he or she will always do the minimum required.

        Why aren't principals using the legal contractual process to terminate bad teachers? Bad teachers only stay bec of failure of mgmnt.

        Disciplinary reasons and poor evals? they need to be put on probation and then fired if don't meet standards. Quit paying them!

        Some of these so called teachers came in with an alternative certification and were not taught the theories for teaching our children.
