This article has some serious issues. Feeding baby is best. Support systems for BF IS critical. Black women face racism in maternal care.

This article fails to acknowledge any of the findings of the huge disparity in pregnancy mortality in the US with black women due to racism.

I value reading about individual's personal stories, but this comes close to shaming folks for not breast feeding.

Supplementation when baby is born if there are problems with milk is perfectly ok. Dehydration is not.

An article about workplace support of folks would be awesome rather than blaming folks families. Also access to PAID parental leave.

Here in South Africa, and Africa at large, it is the opposite practice.

Resource to breast feed is in the person. It's not resources problem but more need to work problem. Poor can't take the time off, must work!

Things have changed since the wet nurse days, possibly black women are less likely to breast feed in public from my observation.
