Article details how Lampert has ensured he himself will make money as the company he bought goes bankrupt. Shameful.

They should sell off their stores and focus on what they do best - making quality tools and hardware.

So sad.Their catalog & in store candy/popcorn counter were staples of childhood. Chocolate stars, burnt peanuts, chocolate covered raisins.😢

Didn't they also have several stores with Little Caesars inside? Can't remember if that was before K-Mart merged with them..

I used to do retail inventory; visited 15-20 different Sears locations but I don't recall any of those Sears having restaurants in-store.

I do remember K-Mart having Little Caesar's. Usually at the checkout area.

Our agency brought them countless creative ideas to grow their brand. All nixed by their dry, dim, conservative middle management.

Employees became an expense, not an asset. Stores became dilapidated. Inventory a joke, with decreased quality of the merchandise sold.

That's what happens with corporate greed, your stuff was way overpriced in today's market. People can find better bargains out there.

Seems to me the rot started at the top as it seems to do with failed businesses. The Eaton's downhill slide started that way too.

It was GREED for the people at the time and no concern for the employees who faced the customers, or the customers, esp. ones who charged!
