There's a lot overlooked in this article. Allow low skilled immigrants to do this work, but apply for citizenship, not just work Visas.

Another point missing is that other industries look at this as an excuse to outsource cheaper labor or import it with H1B visas. #Disney

In the 70s, US clothing manufacturers closed Union shops and mills in favor of shops in Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia etc. for cheaper labor.

If you don't believe the impact...look at the cost of Levi's (1970s-80s) & present. Why are they more now without union labor? #NotInflation

Really? How does sponging up resources while possibly picking a little lettuce help anyone but them? Put US to work FIRST not THEM.

You're not from a rural area, are you? There will never be enough Americans willing to work in the fields. The work is brutal and low-paid.

So it's okay to brutally work immigrants & pay them low wages. Sounds a lot like a new century of slaves.

No, he said that Americans should get those jobs. I said Americans would never, and RIGHTLY SO. No one should work under those conditions.

If Americans were compensated fairly they would take these jobs, they did so long ago until they stopped taking it.

That has never been the case in American agriculture. Today's migrant workers were yesterday's sharecroppers.

The fact that immigrants improve the lives of Americans is irrelevant. If they're illegal, then they do not belong here.

If that's true, then, of course that'd be a double standard. Before you, or I jump to conclusions, I'd like to find out the truth, first.
