So I *shouldn't* put an angry bacteria-filled sponge into a clean place where my food goes & then heat it up and make it angrier?

I never microwave my sponge. I find broiling it after a dry rub makes it much tastier & more tender. Try it with an oaky cabernet sauvignon.

Put some rubbing alcohol in a glass and immerse your sponges for ten seconds. Discard and rinse sponges. It can kill staph and e-coli.

Sponges R disgusting: they dry slowly, providing an incredible breeding ground for bacteria. Scrub pads are much better bcause they dry fast
