Three-quarters of both 12th and 8th graders lack proficiency in writing. The Common Core was supposed to fix that. http://nyti.ms/2vp7TWW pic.twitter.com/IdPEMV8n4c

Common Core teaches what corporations wanted - analyzing reports - designed by profs in university. NOT teachers.

Baloney. There was input from thousands of teachers. Analyzing skills - beneficial in ALL areas of life - is a fraction of the standards.

The main force was not teachers. And the emphasis away from lit is real. See Gates Foundation. Teachers never on board.

1/ Schools of Ed spend far too little (if any) time teaching HOW to teach SPECIFIC curriculum.

This is spot on. Why else is our public school system being intentionally dismantled and defended? Educated voters = free society
