By most economists' standards, the U.S. has one of the most counterproductive tax regimes among advanced nationshttp://nyti.ms/2uhfym5

It's a fallacy that US pays more taxes than Europeans. We pay more, taxes are hidden, & we receive fewer benefits for our tax dollars.

We pay fewer taxes in real value, but the taxes are inefficiently applied so they're actually more painful than European tax systems.

in Europe sales taxes are included in the price, we pay them as an add-on which is more expensive in the long term & overburdens un-elites

Thanks for the neoliberalism that destroys the lives of real people. Our effective tax rate for businesses is pathetic.

You're missing the point....there's global competition that creates incentives for companies (jobs) to be where the lowest corporate tax is

Workers have been picking up the tab for those effective tax rates that sometimes wind up with companies getting money back.

If you're going to compare .....bet those other countries have universal health care too. Why no big push for that, only tax cuts.

Not run it like the VA, they have limited facilities. Like medicare, that all who have are much happier with.

You do realize the number enrolled in Medicare (& VA) is MUCH smaller than the entire country? Dumping everybody in ruins it FAST.
