The malls weren't really choices, though. They are/were so homogenized. There's a reason George Romero set a zombie movie in one years ago.

I grew up with malls it has been sad to see it's demise over the years.

Me too. I thought they were fun when I was a teenager. I could get away from my parents.
There's really no place like that for kids -
I know. Movies, lunch, record stores, and of course World Bazaar!! Oh that incense! Lol

The biggest "Malls" or "Shopping Centres" here in Australia are thriving - full tenancies and don't think there's any that have closed..
