Factory jobs go unfilled not because workers lack the skills. The problem is that too many of them fail a drug test.http://nyti.ms/2uvigGo

FWIW I'd prefer a non-stoned worker build my car, my appliances & the planes I fly on, for starters. Too much to ask?

No, that's reasonable. The problem is Marijuana, at least, stays in the system for 30 days. That worker may be stone cold sober on the job.

A better way would be to find a way to test for influence of drugs while on the job. You can pass a drug test while being an alcoholic. You

They'd rather have people managing pain with opioids or abusing alcohol than -- God forbid! -- smoking pot. They need to get with the times.

As always, they find a way to blame US workers, who had no hand in creating the conditions leading to their addictions. What a load of BS.

I once worked at a factory where the QC Mgr told the Director not to fire anyone who failed a marijuana test, he'd lose 70% of his workers

        2) Would you go to a surgeon who tested positive for pot if you didn't know the last time she smoked? These employers aren't hard asses.

High on the job. I would trust her employers to make that call. Many ppl smoke pot at home (inc surgeons) and should not be punished for it.

The point is that I WOULDNT KNOW when she smoked and it could be anytime in the previous 2-3 weeks. That's not evidence I can make a call on
