As if that matters in the majority of these cases. Video hasn't made a damn difference in convicting cops.

Why are they able to turn them off?
-
Good question! I'd assume for privacy like bathroom time or on a personal phone call w spouse? Sometimes in careers u give up that privacy
-
They're generally soundless and the way that they face, they wouldn't show anything in the bathroom unless the cop was really trying.

Wrong....police officers are uneducated. Cameras are expensive & they need to be on. There is a real need ....for example this instance.

Suspension without pay if the turn off the camera. Or 3 strikes & fired. This equipment is expensive & there is as reason they wear it.

That is NOT the ?. The ? is why does an officer shoot a citizen because he heard a loud noise earlier? What training are they getting?

I'm guessing it may have to do with them still being in the car. He over-reacted to fireworks with extremely tragic consequences.

"over-reacting" with a gun = culpable homicide
-
That could be. We certainly should be doing a better job of vetting our police to make sure they don't over-react.
