California's especially the bay areas market is sky rocketing because we don't protect our real estate from foreign buyers.

A vast quantity of real estate is owned by foreign nationals who flip it as rentals pricing out low income families. Avg rent is > 3500.

I make more than the nurse and the only reason i got a house was because I got lucky during tje 2008-2009 slump.

Socialism works well. If you are really rich, or really poor. But if you are in the middle...Not so well. Dems will destroy California...

? CA is not socialist. Middle-class owns homes here; this is good news for them, means that property is increasing in value again

Are u serious? Do most people rent or own homes? Do most millennial rent or buy homes? Most of Ca is unaffordable for the middle class.

No, cost of living is higher. Read the article -- a *nurse* makes 180k/year. Easy to afford a 500k house on that salary.

We call it a bubble. California's boom-bust-repeat cycle has been going on for 100 years.

Jesus read the actual article. It's about local govt not wanting to build housing for wealthy vs the state gov wanting more construction
