When do you know when the tide would turn? Such plan will only make the insurance companies to make money with no benefit to the society.
-
Insurance companies are not here for our benefit, they are here for profit. We have to decide for ourselves what is good and what is not.
-
That is the responsibility of our elected officials. They should not be the one selling the citizens to the insurance companies.
-
WRONG! Elected officials have no business selling anything to anyone. Gov't needs to get out of insurance business, let free market work.

But no one has to buy them. Unlike Onamacare that you were forced to buy ever increasingly expensive insurance that is difficult to use.
-
You will really like cheap insurance about the time your appendix ruptures and you spend many days in the hospital.

Single payer - cheaper, better health outcomes and fair. All the evidence supports it for many countries- it will happen- but when?
-
"Ask not, what your country can do for you" Looking for a free ride Alan? America is the land of the free, not freebie.
-
Joe, healthcare is a RIGHT. That means that even poor people are entitled to FREE QUALITY HEALTHCARE if they can't afford to pay.
-
We have a lot of rights here in America. That doesn't mean they are free. Should the government guarantee our happiness? How does that work?
-
GOVERNMENTS, wherever they may be, have an invested interest to make certain that ALL citizens are HEALTHY physically and mentally.
-
All the issues you bring up are real, but they are not the governments responsiblity. We are not a socialist country.
-
No we're not. That's not saying that there's anything wrong with socialist countries. People tend to get socialism and communism mixed up.
-
How do you propose we pay for it. We are at 21T and counting. Care to write a check? We can always end up like Venezuela.
