        why do you say "long term" is less than 3 years? I've had relatives who have needed care for 6 years (and others even longer).

        My pleasure. Just make sure you work w/an agent who specializes in LTCi. Don't buy LTCi from an investment adviser or auto insurance agent.

        most countries that have single-payer healthcare systems do NOT provide long term care as part of that system.
