I've had my share of teaching "crack babies." I have to get out before these "opioid addicts" start school! #teacherproblems

That's really a sad statement coming from a teacher
-
I'm not being condescending. I understand the challenges and frustration. However it is still a sad statement coming from a teacher.
-
You're right. But my experience has been sad as well. Most addicted kids are either raised by grandparents or parents who are still on drugs
-
The kids typically have more behavior & learning problems. They need more support, but family situation not good, thus no teacher support.
-
I have a lot of respect for you. It isn't easy what you encounter in your classrooms in addition to the lack of support from parents.
-
I was in no way judging your character. It just broke my heart that you felt that way which is completely understandable.
-
I didn't take it that way at all. I appreciate the exchange. Thank you! I love teaching, I love my kids. All the other stuff is just hard...

As a mother/baby nurse I see what these babies go through-so unfair to be exposed to any drugs at all!!

Put em in jail. Babies needing a druggie for a mom is ridiculous and waste of money.
