infrastructure would need to be added to to make these more viable. That, and better battery technology.

Completely agree. You can't go on a road trip with one of these things. Need to up the range greatly before in can be viable.

exactly. If you want to go from CA to CHI, then you'd need to strategically determine your route so you can get to charging stations.

And if you have to stop for a couple hours every 250 miles, the trip would take twice as long. I can't be having that. 2/2

or, as of now, depending on battery pack drainage, maybe 6 hrs?

Right. As much as I would love a Tesla, with how many of those longer road trips I have every year, it just wouldn't be practical.

maybe the talk about capacitors may be something that they go to in the future, instant charging....

Or even somehow incorporating things like solar panels on the roof for charging in motion. It may be a stretch, but its a thought I've had.

None of the above. My current clunker is falling apart but VA disability isn't enough to cover a new or used vehicle.

Very sorry to hear that. Old cars are always a catch 22 (do I fix it or sell it?) :-( Have you tried this link? http://save.lovetoknow.com/Free_Cars_for_Low_Income_Families …pic.twitter.com/asr9w72OqT

Charging stations should have battery packs. Swap and be on your way.

I don't no about US. Here in UK, especially London, most ppl can't charge car from home & no one knows where car parked from 1 day 2 next?🤔

The infrastructure required, digging up every road in London & many parts of UK simply destroys the environmental argument of electric cars.

It takes CHINA getting involved to make this happen like they have with VOLVO. Many thanks to China for setting the GREEN example to follow.
