We Catholics being the only believers in Truth grasp for and cling to whatever trace remains of what God had to work with historically.

Therefore gluten-intolerant Catholics aren't allowed in heaven

Communion is also very often available from the chalice, which has no gluten or wheat. Any practicing Catholic knows this.

Subsisting on only literal magic blood isn't very healthy, you definitely want the literal magic flesh too

That seems like a great retention strategy. "What about people with celiac disease?" "Screw 'em! Devout Catholics eat gluten!"

People with coeliac disease cannot eat gluten at all as it is toxic to them. I don't think Jesus would mind if they ate gluten free.

It would be more pleasant if the communion bread had a little cheese spread on it.
