Nursing home costs nearly $100,000 a year. I bet most patients go on Medicaid if they live there for years.

Honestly, the nursing home costs are obscene. They're overcharging because they know that they can, and will get paid

And if you've ever had a relative in a nursing home you know that most of the care comes from lowest-paid workers.

Hospitals, jails, courts, armed forces, police, aged care, nursing homes and such should not be run for profit but by the public sector.

I know but I do not believe that they should be. In my view, like hospitals, such services should be run by not-for-profit organizations.

"human nature to believe if someone is in a bad spot its because they are doing something wrong". Something really wrong with that belief.

Unless you have millions stashed this is the road for many Americans. Medicaid isn't free they take your assets and homes.

Forcing taxpayers to fund Medicaid to protect one's savings (children's inheritance) via a trust is BS. We don't owe anyone an inheritance.

Yes. You built it & it should go to your long term care expenses. Pleading poverty via a trust to foist that cost on to others is parasitic.
