Coal fired power plants and nuclear power plants produce the majority of electricity. Not wind. Fossil fuels are used in almost everything.

SA. where this battery is being installed, has no nuclear or coal fire power generation. This battery is installed in a wind farm.

Lithium batteries need tons of fossil fuels to be produced in the first place. You think they mine lithium and other materials using wind?

Was thinking the Westinghouse/Edison debate about ac/dc current, batteries outside citties, but I could be wrong.

I was being a little snarky, sorry, and yeah that makes total sense. Volta is considered the father of the modern battery though.
