        I've known girls with eating disorders It's not usually about image issues but more about depression. It can be about control,punishment etc

        It is so much more than about what you look like- anxiety and depression usually go hand in hand. Recovery is possible.

        Obsession/cravings can also be an ED. The roots for an ED are usually start in childhood, sometimes a response to stress. It isn't abt FOOD

        Once someone has eaten to the point of stretching the stomach, it loses elasticity, remains stretched, and requires more food to feel full.

        An eating disorder is rarely ever past tense. Food is an addiction, like drugs or alcohol, the only difference, you have to eat to live.
