Regardless of anyone's opinion the Pew Survey was only conducted in Chicago. Those statistics does not represent the whole US population.

That percentage seems extremely high. I,personally, don't know anyone who has ever been shot. Makes one wonder where they did the survey.

Well that'll make you one of the 56% then.

The methodology is important here though. For instance, doesn't exclude people shot during the course of military service?

How did the sample? Was it completely randomized?

Interesting! Have they found a reason for that drop? Has the number of suicides by other methods gone up?

Let's not put stricter actions in place to protect people. Conservatives want to live in the Wild West where we can shoot whoever we want

Doesn't read article. Makes inference from photo. Declares it FakeNews. I can't imagine why anyone would be so proudly ignorant.

Their comment doesn't need the article. It's based on the inflammatory photo of an "aggressive" gun that has nothing to do with the article

There should be regulation of what kinds of gun photos journos can use. Guns are dangerous when photos of them fall into the wrong newspaper

It's the context- an AR w/a gun study is like a strippers tit w/a story about breastfeeding. Why didn't they show a deer rifle instead?

Or a revolver? Or a shotgun? Or a target pistol? Or any one of the different styles of gun that doesn't look military and scary

The picture they should have shown is a gun wound. But you would have found that inflammatory too
