I'm so frustrated
-
It's flabbergasting. This proves that cops have the right to shoot whoever they want to + can blame on being scared + get off.

Minority cop shoots minority citizen, government charges him, government fights for conviction, jury of peers in blue state acquits minority
-
Cop still works for the state. Same state that protects bad police. This isn't about white cops vs minority..it's about BAD cop vs POC
-
The State tried to send this cop to prison.
-
The state that COP WORKS FOR & WITH. Correct? Conflict of Interest. System is flawed. Fix it or things will get worse for EVERYONE.
-
The system worked. The State charged cop for killing POC, the State sought prison for cop, jury of peers in blue state found not guilty.
-
How does it work when both the COP & DAs work for the same state? CONFLICT! He was guilty of some sort of homicide. Negligent at least.
-
The DA fought hard to send him to prison. They believe he was guilty. That's not a conflict. Blame the jurors.
-
These cops and DAs are essentially colleagues. That IS A CONFLICT. Can't guarantee fair charges, jury selection & trial in that scenario.

Did we think
#justice was going to be served? I didn't. There is no justice for the black man in this country. Period.#philandocastile -
Or any person of color. Or anyone who is perceived a threat whether IMAGINED or realized. The intent is to kill anyone not dressed in BLUE

Just in case it isn't explicit, our society doesn't value black lives.

Another "I feared for my life." It isn't wrong to fear for your life. Just choose a profession where your life is never in danger.
