Having more guns on that field wouldn't have saved anyone. It would have contributed to more injuries or deaths by 'friendly fire.'

Except that the shooter was stopped by someone on the field w/ a gun, so you could not be more wrong.

Trained law enforcement officers are far different from random citizens in their ability to safely discharge weapons & hit intended targets.

Everyone with a gun fancies themselves as some kind of sharp shooter, but reality is a far cry from that fantasy.

Even skilled hunters don't have experience RETURNING fire while being fired upon. There's real skill involved & it's not for amateurs.

Nice try pal. You don't have to carry a badge to have the inherent right to adequate self-defense. Lethal threat. Lethal defense.

You know what they say, "The best defense is a good offense." If mentally ill & abusive ppl don't have access to guns, fewer lethal threats

Let me get this: we tighten up laws on PEOPLE who come into US/become citizens because it's dangerous, but loosen GUNS because it's safer?

Weird lede. Just admit Republicans are consistent on gun control and say so clearly rather than this twaddle.

The consistency is admirable. The flawed logic to reach the conclusion they're being consistent about isn't.

Consistency isn't admirable if it's born of a refusal to entertain the idea you might be wrong about something.
