@Merck how a drug could cost 150k/year? are Pembroluzimab so rare? made of plutonium or uranium? from Mars? @USMerckProducts @minsaude

Or...hundreds of millions of dollars in research to develop the drug?
-
https://amigobulls.com/stocks/MRK/balance-sheet/annual … , hundreds is less than half billion? 3k patients/year is good? 1 good drug shouldnt have to pay all executive bonus
-
Good drugs have to pay for the research into candidate drugs that fail. Merck gives away ivermectin to treat river blindness.
-
do you agree at least they have a excelent profit?
-
Of course. But without that profit, this drug wouldn't exist at all. It will also fund research into future treatments, more saved lives.

The problem is whether patients can afford it.
-
With that cost, how is it even attainable for average patients? Why even tell about it when the cost will prohibit patients from getting it
-
So why doesn't the wealthy cancer society pay for the drugs rather than millions to their CEOs?
