For the sick (and wealthy) in China, crowded hospitals were once their only option. Now, they fly abroad.http://nyti.ms/2rfWkzv

They also come to U.S. to deliver automatic-citizen babies, sometimes leaving w/o paying hospital bills. Birth toursim needs to end.

I'm not proposing that we should treat all the poor people in China. I'm calling attention to the quality of the system.

Oftentimes good quality is associated with significant costs. That's the way life works. Compare a Cadillac to a Kia and get back with me.

I'm not talking about possessions, I'm talking about life or death based on what a person can afford. Real world too.

Liberals don't get it. You can't push Medicaid expansion and cheap care on one hand and continue to insist on highest quality on other hand.

Medical tourism is a significant business both for the agencies and for the receiving hospitals ...therefore in their interest to highlight downsides. Changes to regulatory processes in China are seeing accelerated approvals ...its a fast moving environment. Much is changing !
