I love circuses but I can't stand the abuse and anxiety that the elephants, lions, etc have to go thru everyday. I say good riddance.

The elephants went to sanctuaries when they were cut fr the show so hopefully the rest get rehomed the same way

Elephants not in true sanctuary - still on Ringling Florida property & still being exploited. Other animals now sold to European circuses.

Have any of you folks ever actually studied these animals in the wild, where they attack each other and die of diseases and starvation, etc?

Yes, right after they prance around and stand on hind legs, all for th entertainment of their fellow wildlife who beat them into submission.

Humans aren't "fellow wildlife." That shows how far off track you folks really are.

We are all species sharing this planet. How we choose to treat animals is a reflection on humanity, for which we should feel great shame.

Just because we can, doesn't mean we should eat, wear, test on, or use animals for amusement.
