I may be in the minority here but the one I never tire of revisiting is Catch Me If You Can.

MINORITY REPORT, if only they had finished it better.
-
They finished that film fine, Nathan.

You must have dream-watched it after being haloed...

1. Minority Report 2. Catch Me if You Can 3. Munich 4. Lincoln 5. A.I. (With a rewatch, could go higher)

Our list is the same (just in a different order)! Not surprising, considering what Spielberg has made since 2000.
-
I will say, though, that Minority Report & AI—as great as they are—suffer from wonky endings. Munich is the only one that feels complete.

Def agree. But production design of MR rockets it to the top for me. No flick depicts near-future more elegantly. Berg using all his tools
-
For sure. MR is maybe the best sci-fi film of the 21st century. (But man I am not a fan of Janusz Kaminski's cinematography.)
-
And that MR shot you call out is great—but that's Spielberg's compositional eye, not Kaminski's cinematography.
-
For sure, but I'd argue that extreme closeups are probably trickier to light and shoot than yer standard two-shot
