Is it normal for 100 peaceful chicks to suddenly turn violent? On math it is.

I spent wayyyyy to much time on this problem. Fuckin' marijuana. I could maybe figure this out not stoned, but I got distracted by Cheers.

The answer to that would actually depend on many variables. There is no accurate answer.

That's why it asks for expected number.

What number could one "expect" from a completely random event that depends on multiple, undisclosed, variables? 😳

It's called "probabilities"; fundamental in finite math. It's like how many heads vs tails one "expects" if one flips a coin 100 times.

Each chick can be pecked by its left neighbor, right neighbor, both, or neither. All four outcomes are equally likely, 25% x 100 = 25 chicks
