I can understand if you know the secret formula for Coke & you get an offer from Pepsi but this about destroying workers plain & simple.

Great article. One correction: Mass has done nothing to curb noncompetes. Nothing.

Massachusetts lawmakers came close to passing a bill last year. I was involved in last year's reform effort. House and Senate were miles apart. This year, six or seven bills introduced. But no action.

Weakened unions, right to work, job lock, all contributing to indentured servitude of US workers.
-
Could unions that have gone to far in the past made employers act this way?
-
Seriously interested in ur thoughts on "too far"

Nothing specific. Both seem like they work against the individual.

The trend has been toward employer rights over worker rights, the 'free' market has been slowly boxing people in, giving fewer options.
-
And do you know why the trend may be increasing? Lack of prosecution of Oligopoly and Monopoly Laws.

Trade urine to get a job, and trade future opportunity to leave a job, yet we make 1/1000 of what CEOs make. Workers need to kick back hard.

Noncompetes should only be used in rare cases. Many companies are using them for low level employees now, which is plain wrong.
