        My middle school teacher was exceptional: Mary Wheeler - we learned to write fugues. We also sang competitively in a school w/ few assets.

        We did some spoken fugues, although I used some basic jazz/popular standards for melody. Our were 3 recurring voices,

        Nope. I wish I had a story about an inspiring teacher. Music died when in elementary school for my public segment and wasn't much after.

        All of my teachers taught me to question everything. 4 th grade I saw my mothers maiden name in a history book and learned that history .
