The legality of marriage is important to some people, regardless of other romantic or sexual openness.

As someone who is married (10+ yrs) and polyamorus, I can say that it works. It takes trust and communication. #Polyamory

If a couple is open, why do they need to get married in the first place, remain single and date. Marriage is a commitment.

You can't be committed to someone independent of sexual monogamy? It's not for everyone but it doesn't preclude commitment in other areas

Yes you can. It's called "friendship". People who don't understand the purpose of marriage should stay away from it.

So no standards-whatever works for 1 or 2 is the new societal norm? It probably won't sell. Too many people with common sense.

It's certainly not going to be a societal norm, I would assume it's a lifestyle most people will have no interest in partaking
