Regardless of immigration view, seems counterproductive to allow cities to go against fed law. Where else do we allow something like this?

Immigrants are less likely to report crimes for fear of being deported. It makes Texas and the US less safe.

If people are here illegally that is a problem, we don't fix it by trying to "build relationships" and "making it safe to report crimes" 1/2

There will be undocumented immigrants in the US just like in Canada- wall or not. Ur safer if they can report crimes.

Isn't it ironic that you want to ban immigrants but most of U.S. citizens are immigrants? No natives?C'mon, you are the melting pot!

Thankfully many local police won't comply. They know it would harm community- police relations.
