        Locals already support w/ taxes (yes?) But visitors are spending ton to get to NYC, stay there already. Prbly make less than locals too.

        That's a clever way to look at it. The Met as a loss leader. It's difficult to show that the math works though.

        So if you live 2 miles away in NJ you have to pay but 380 miles away in Buffalo you count as a local?

        lifetime resident ... not really that expensive to see the sites ... the Staten Island ferry, and nice ride, is free alone
