The babadook is probably 1 of my favorite recent indie horror films. scary, compelling, but doesn't fall into the usual indie horror cliches

It Follows is blatantly 80's horror. but does things with the evil that paranormal horror doesn't usually do. the beach scene, awesome.
-
it also one of the best "jump scares" around. so, SO good and so effective. you'll know it when it happens. ending is a bit meh tho.
-
and everything said about The Host was on point. fun film. worth checking out.
