        Slaves and slaves owners I agree. Many blk and white came in thru Ellis island 50 to 100 years after and don't have any roots to it!

        True, my Jamaican maternal grandparents arrived in the USA ca. 60 years after slavery in the USA ended. Paternal lineage=blank slate in SC.
